Last week, the Shankaboot team who produces a Lebanese web drama of the name Shankaboot - Opens in new tab, produced a short satirical teaser depicting a Lebanese woman talking about her maid, and advising Lebanese women on the subject of domestic workers. Madam Najem was the star of a recent Shankaboot episode entitled “Doulika in Distress” - Opens in new tab where she is seen abusing her domestic worker from Sri Lanka.
Some of the comments on the satirical teaser, that were posted on Facebook and elsewhere, note how realistic it is! We let you be the judge, and we share with you the following two links on Lebanese court sentences won by an Ethiopian - Opens in new tab, and by a Filipino - Opens in new tab.
